ECD Company was established in Denver, Colorado in 1965. Since its inception, the company portfolio has grown consistently creating apartments, condominiums, single family homes, industrial buildings, commercial spaces, mixed use developments, and hotels. Since 1985, ECD's growth has been overseen by our president, Scott Greenberg. The current portfolio is valued at $310 million, with future projects valued at over $30 million. Today the company remains committed to its guiding principle of building value through innovative products while also supporting economic growth within the local community.
ECD strives to innovate and create new product types by redefining and repositioning what has traditionally been termed as either "shopping", or "dining" or just another "hotel". In short, we redefine the boundaries of old real estate concepts and create innovative and exciting new products and concepts.
ECD believes in developing multi-use developments and hotel properties that will not only stand the test of time but continue to be innovative and provide an excellent experience for our guests. The company makes higher than average investment in our buildings, which supports our underlying commitment to architectural quality. Even with a higher than average cost of construction, our return on equity consistently exceeds that of the competition.
We believe real estate is a long-term investment, and we approach the development process with the anticipation of owning any property for a long period of time. Our track record demonstrates that we are not a merchant developer who "flips" developments after completion.
We believe in creating a true partnership with each city and community we develop in. By working hand-in-hand with the local business and residential community, we build places that are specifically catered to the individual needs of the area.
Our track record has shown that by "raising the bar" through a focused commitment to our targeted customer, we achieve success, and our return on investment is substantially higher than industry standards. This approach brings steady and consistent growth. ECD Company serves four fundamental customers: our tenants, visitors of our developments, purchasers of our "for-sale" real estate, and our hospitality guests (hotel and restaurant). Our primary focus forever remains: to provide all four with an extraordinary experience.
